The Queen City Delivery Man

Driving around town dropping off edibles
In the city of Cincinnati
Eastside, Westside, Northside, Downtown
The rich, the poor, the destitute
All need food

Big houses, small houses
Shacks, Parks, Construction sites
I’ve delivered to them all
Street after street
House after house

I’ve driven on damn near every road
In this hilly and chaotic city
These busy streets with many names
Day or night, here there
I deliver everywhere

Every Thursday I get my paycheck
Wishing it was more
Yet glad that I have one
Knowing as long as I drive long and hard
They will keep coming
And I will keep rolling along
As the Queen City Delivery Man
